Durrett Recovery is a family-owned and operated towing and auto transport company built on hard work, responsibility, and showing up when it matters most.

We proudly serve Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Harrisonburg, Virginia, safely moving more than 4,000 vehicles each year — from everyday autos to classic and custom rides — with the highest standards of care, compliance, and respect.

Licensed by the DMV and DOT as a Property Carrier, we take pride in meeting every legal and safety requirement while treating each tow as if it were our own.

Experience & Foundation

Durrett Recovery was founded in 2022, bringing together more than three decades of combined experience in towing and business ownership.

Wayne spent 13 years in the towing profession, handling everything from emergency roadside assistance and winch recoveries to dealership deliveries and transporting cherished classics. Brenda brought more than 20 years of experience in real estate and business management.

Together, we built a company rooted in care, safety, and community — serving customers, dealers, and fellow professionals with reliability and respect.

Supporting the Industry

During COVID-19, we expanded beyond towing by launching our online store to support fellow truckers, dealers, and tow companies. We share trusted equipment, safety products, and operational tools we personally use to stay safe, legal, and prepared for the demands of the job.

The work we do on the road supports a life built on the same values off it.

Our family lives and works on a homestead we call Axles & Acres, where responsibility, resilience, and stewardship shape daily life. It’s a place where the lessons of hard work continue — grounded in community, care, and respect.
