Not everything that changes your life is a major event. Sometimes it's a book. A cup of coffee. A favorite pen. A verse. A quiet morning. Or a simple reminder that you're not walking alone.

Over the years, I've learned that it's often the little things that make the biggest difference.

A good book.

A thoughtful gift.

Something that makes an ordinary day easier.

A quiet walk.

A lesson life has taught me.

A verse at just the right time.

These are the things I call my beacons—the little lights I find along the way.

Some have encouraged me through difficult seasons. Some have helped me see something differently. Some are simply things I love, use, or have found genuinely helpful in everyday life.

And sometimes, the beacon is just a thought I don't want to forget.

This is my more personal corner of Life on the Acres—a place for stories, faith, reflections, life lessons, things I'm loving and using, and some of what nearly 30 years of marriage, small business, family and ordinary life have taught me.

You'll still find favorite books, products, meaningful gifts, and simple recommendations I'd happily share with a friend over a cup of coffee.

But you'll also find pieces of real life.

A thought from the road. Something Wayne and I have learned through marriage or working together. A difficult season that taught me something worth remembering. A quiet morning at home. A walk to the mailbox. Something I've found in Scripture. Or simply something that's helping me make a little more room for purpose, peace and freedom in everyday life.

Because I've learned that the answers we're looking for don't always arrive as one big life-changing moment.

Sometimes they're little lights.

A conversation.

A lesson.

A verse.

A realization.

A reminder to stop moving the furniture and start living in the room. 😂
