Towing & Auto Transport, Small Business, Helpful Guides & Resources.
Not everything that changes your life is a major event. Sometimes it's a book. A cup of coffee. A favorite pen. A verse. A quiet morning. Or a simple reminder that you're not walking alone.
Over the years, I've learned that it's often the little things that make the biggest difference. A good book. A thoughtful gift. Something that makes an ordinary day easier. A quiet walk. A lesson life has taught me. A verse at just the right time. These are the things I call my beacons—the little lights I find along the way.
Some have encouraged me through difficult seasons. Some have helped me see something differently. Some are simply things I love, use or have found genuinely helpful in everyday life. And sometimes, the beacon is just a thought I don't want to forget.
A Place for Beacons is where I'm gathering those things.
It's a more personal corner of the life we're building through Axles & Acres—a place for stories, faith, reflections, useful resources, things I'm loving and using, and some of what many years of marriage, small business, family and ordinary life have taught me. You'll find favorite books, products, helpful tools and simple recommendations I'd happily share with family or a friend. But you'll also find pieces of real life. A thought from the road. Something Wayne and I have learned through marriage or working together. A difficult season that taught me something worth remembering. A quiet morning at home. A walk to the mailbox. Something I've found in Scripture. Or simply something that's helping me make a little more room for purpose, peace and freedom in everyday life.
Because I've learned that the answers we're looking for don't always arrive as one big life-changing moment. Sometimes they're little lights. A conversation. A lesson. A verse. A realization. A reminder to stop moving the furniture and start living in the room. 😂 Or maybe just two words you needed that day:
Keep going.
That's what A Place for Beacons is really about.
I've found some beacons along the way. I'll share mine here, and maybe they'll help you recognize some of your own.
Welcome to A Place for Beacons. ☀️
Some of the things that have helped me most in life weren't big answers. They were a book I found at the right time, a verse I needed to remember, something useful that made life a little easier, or a lesson someone else had already learned the hard way. (BOOKS-COMING SOON)
A Place for Beacons on Substack is where I share my longer stories and thoughts about faith, marriage, work, ordinary life, and the little lights I find along the way. Come read, subscribe, or simply stop by whenever you need a little light for the road you're on.
Life on the Axles is the working side of our story. It's the trucks, trailers, early mornings, long days, auction lots, unexpected problems, equipment we depend on, people we meet, and the thousands of miles in between.
Life on the Acres is the home side of our story. We're not trying to show a perfect version of country life. We're simply sharing the one we're actually living—the work and the quiet, what we're learning, what we're using, and what we're learning to appreciate along the way.
The Axles & Acres Collection is where we share products created from our own photographs, experiences, faith, and life on the road and Acres. Simple, meaningful pieces inspired by the work we do and the life we've worked hard to build.
Want to Build Something of Your Own Online?
I'm building this one step at a time too. Behind the Scenes is where I share what I've learned about creating a website, using Shopify, building digital products, organizing the pieces, and turning your ideas and experience into something of your own online. It doesn't have to be huge, you just need a place to start & something worth building.
Books, everyday finds, and simple things I've genuinely loved, used, or found helpful along the way.
Follow along through quiet mornings, open roads, and the everyday moments that make up our life between tow trucks & land.
If something we've shared has helped you along the way, you're welcome to buy us a cup of coffee and help support more stories, guides, and helpful resources.
No pressure, just a little way to support the work we're doing. We appreciate you being here!
